There is no universal rate card
Anyone publishing a definitive 'per 1,000 followers' figure is guessing. Real pricing varies by category, platform, format, exclusivity, usage rights and how quickly you need it.
On Reelsknot, creators list their own rates per deliverable, which is the only honest source of pricing: what real creators are actually asking, right now.
What the price is made of
A quote is the sum of these components. Ask which are included rather than negotiating the headline number blind.
- Production — concept, shoot, edit, revisions
- Distribution — posting to their audience
- Usage rights — the brand reusing content in its own ads, and for how long
- Exclusivity — not working with competitors for a defined period
- Turnaround — rush jobs cost more, everywhere
Why usage rights change everything
A reel posted to a creator's feed and a reel licensed for six months of paid media are different products. If you plan to boost content, say so before the quote — retro-fitting usage rights after the fact is where relationships sour.
Negotiating without insulting anyone
If a quote is above budget, reduce scope rather than asking for a discount: fewer deliverables, shorter usage window, no exclusivity. That respects the creator's rate while fitting your number.
Barter-only offers work for very small creators and pre-revenue brands. For everyone else, they read as a signal that the brand does not value the work.
